CHILD LABOUR IS ON INCREASING TREND




Eyes gets wet after seeing this kind of picture of our nation .In the era of independence child facing burden of work . 😭


We have been talking about the evils of child labour for the last 15 years in this country. But the working children seems to be increasing . Instead of building up a groundswell of public opinion against child labour & for compulsory primary education , we are still talking about child labour as being necessary for the survival of the family. The debate has not changed radically in the last 15 years
 The result is that children continue to work in the most hazardous conditions & compulsory education is still a dream.


               Child labour is on the increase. Children are given the most dangerous of jobs. All this is a great violation of human rights. Children are dying a slow death. Their plight is being ignored . They get no compensation when injured or sick . 
             The presence of child labour in hazardous industries is a gross violation of human rights. If children are not dying in explosions.they are dying a slow but sure death in the glass , brassware , restaurant ,lock , slate , balloon , brick -kiln & other industries. With their power , employers of child labour get away scot-free . 
              Children working in hazardous industries , they are engaged in most hazardous processed in industries where adults do not want to touch even . In glass industry children are primarily engaged in removing molten glass from the furnaces . Since furnaces is designed for adults . 
               Even the normal medical help is not be given  as the Doctor refuse to treat injured or severely ill patients as they have to necessarily report medico-legal cases. 
         
What then is going to be the fate of Indian Children ...??

 What about the children who are too ill or Injured due to working in hazardous Occupations....??

 Are we still going to justify child labour in India as an economic necessity for the family ...??

 The word "hazardous" is not defined anywhere , not in the Constitution of India & not in the Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act , 1986.   Child labour has to be banned uniformly.

      A strict law is urgently required . A country - wide campaign needs to be to build public opinion & the erring employers of children be punished. All hazardous work should be banned for children.

" A child childhood is for learning & 
          not for earning"  ...!!!!!!!!!

    Helplessness is a reason to do everything... if they study who will serve their families.. there is many rights but all go in vain at proper time.. even they dont know how to raise their voice for thier rights.. ... ✏
