KERNEL -- It is the inner part of a nut .!!

The kernel of a fruit is the inner part and often hard or woody part or soft part that contains the seed. In some fruits, like peaches or cherries, the kernel is encased in a protective shell or pit. The kernel is the reproductive part of the fruit, and it's designed to protect and nourish the seed within, which can grow into a new plant if planted under the right conditions. In culinary contexts, some kernels, like almond kernels, are edible and are used in various recipes.

Kernels can be different in size and shape .

Some Examples Of Edible kernels are :-

  1. Almonds
  2. Pine nuts
  3. Pistachios
  4. Walnuts
  5. Hazelnut etc 

There are also some fruits whose seeds are also edible and benefit us in number of ways . They are listed as under :-
