Water is really very precious. It is more precious Than gold . There are various reasons for such a huge water scarcity . The most important being the villainy of man. He has done maximum harm to the basic of ecosystems in this world . Felling of trees & cleaning away of forests have led to the shrinkage of green belts in the world . It has led to a sharp decline in the general rainfall throughout the world . The global warming and the Green House effect has led many glaciers to melt away depleting the permanent sources of water . The results are alarming . Water table in most of the countries , particularly , in a developing country like India has gone down very low . This has affected agriculture quite adversely . Canals , tanks , tubewells & wells can't cope with the growing demands of irrigation. In cities, unplanned urbanisation & population explosion have caused alarming water scarcity. Even in metropolitan cities taps remain dry most of the hours in a day.   ...

A vast blanket of pollution stretching down sunlight by 10% over India , damaging agriculture, modifying rainfall patterns & putting hundreds of thousands of people at risk .  Research carried out in India indicates that the Haze caused by pollution might be reducing winter rice harvests by as much as 10%.        "Acids in the haze may , by falling as acid rain, have the potential to damage crops & trees. Ash falling on leaves can aggravate the impacts of reduced sunlight on earth's surface . The pollution that is forming the haze could be leading to several hundreds of thousands of premature deaths as a result of higher levels of respiratory diseases . Before we can develop a really effective programme to prevent auto accidents , we will have to learn far more than we now know about why such accidents happen. The National Safety Council ,while pointing out that most accidents result from a combination of causes, & that "few accidents are investigated carefully enough to determine exactly what their underlying causes were," estimates that in about 80% of accidents, the most important single factor is the driver himself. The test of life are its plus factors. Overcoming illness & suffering is a plus factor for it moulds character. Steel is iron plus fire , soil is rock plus heat. So let's include the plus factor in our lives.     Sometimes the plus factor is more readily seen by the single-hearted. We shouldn't embarass the disabled. On the other hand , we should be considerate and sympathetic to them . We should develop a fresh perspective towards life. If we do so , we can the beauty of the universe in the midst of pains and sufferings . The spring of hope makes recovery possible. It brings peace in the midst of pain and distress. The forces of destruction are psychological. Life-force regenerates hope and joy. Destructive elements destroy others and themselves. Forget gloom and doom ; seek out positivity and happiness...!!
